ALERT (LEVEL 2)
Vague ‘Other Business’ Item Allows for Surprise Topics
📅 August 25, 2026
The agenda includes a generic ‘Other Business’ item with no description. This creates a procedural loophole where the committee could discuss or introduce substantive issues without providing parents with advance notice.
Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: One or more parents should attend this liaison committee meeting to observe what is discussed under ‘Other Business’ and report back to the chapter. This is often where surprise items are introduced with little to no public scrutiny.
