Special ‘Closed Session’ Meeting Blocks All Public Oversight
📅 August 3, 2026
The board is holding a special meeting entirely in a ‘Closed Session,’ preventing any public observation. This format could be used to discuss controversial policies, personnel decisions, or legal matters without parental awareness or input.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask: ‘Under which specific exemption of the Illinois Open Meetings Act is the board holding the entire August 3rd special meeting in closed session? The public deserves to know the topic of discussion.’
