👀 MONITOR (LEVEL 5)
Undisclosed Consultant Paid $2,000
📅 August 12, 2026
The district’s June warrant report shows a $2,000 payment to an outside consultant, “Mitchell Brookins, Brookins Consulting LLC,” for unspecified “purchased services.” Outside consultants are a primary way districts introduce controversial DEI, SEL, or “anti-racism” training without going through public curriculum review.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask: ‘Regarding the $2,000 payment to Brookins Consulting LLC in the June warrant, what specific services were provided? Please provide a copy of the contract or statement of work for this consultant.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: $2,000
ALERT (LEVEL 4)
Vague “School Perspectives” Program Funded
📅 August 12, 2026
A budget transfer report from July lists a program called “School Perspectives.” This ambiguous title often serves as a euphemism for school climate surveys or data collection programs that can be used to ask students intrusive questions about their feelings, beliefs, and home life without full parental consent.
Recommended Action Plan

OPT-OUT ALERT: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask: ‘What is the “School Perspectives” program mentioned in the July budget transfer report? Is this a survey, and if so, will parents be provided a copy of all questions and a clear opt-out form before it is administered?’
