⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
Silencing Parents Who Can’t Attend Meetings
📅 July 27, 2026
Under agenda item 3.E, the board’s public comment policy states that comments emailed in will be given to the board but will NOT be read aloud during the meeting. This means if you are a working parent or cannot physically attend, your concerns will not be part of the public record or heard by other parents in the audience. This is a procedural tactic to control the public narrative and sideline busy parents.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TO BE HEARD: Email the Board at Board@eusd.net and call the Superintendent’s office at (760) 944-4300, ext. 1111. ‘I demand that all public comments, whether in-person or emailed, be read into the public record. Your current policy silences working parents and violates the spirit of open meetings.’
