Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for Edon Northwest Local. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.

Secret Data Sharing with County Agencies
Under Item 2.I, the board plans to approve the ‘Williams County Interagency Agreement’ as part of a bundled ‘Consent Agenda’ vote, preventing any public discussion. This vague agreement could authorize the school to share your child’s private data (academic, health, disciplinary) with various county agencies without your specific consent. Parents have a right to know exactly which agencies are involved and what information is being shared about their children.
Recommended Action Plan
DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Call Board President Cody Best at (419) 272-3213 and email Superintendent Anthony Stevens at astevens@edon-nw.org. Demand that ‘Item 2.I, the Williams County Interagency Agreement,’ be pulled from the Consent Agenda for a full explanation and a separate public vote.

Student ‘Wellness’ Plan and Data Collection
In his report (Item 3.B.6), the Superintendent references the ‘Student Wellness and Success Funding Plan’ and mentions that ‘our data continues to move in a positive direction.’ This is a major red flag. ‘Wellness’ programs are often a trojan horse for Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and mental health interventions. Parents need to know what ‘data’ is being collected on their children, what ‘services’ are being provided, and if this is happening without parental consent.
Recommended Action Plan
OPT-OUT ALERT: Email Superintendent Anthony Stevens at astevens@edon-nw.org: ‘Regarding the Student Wellness and Success Funding Plan, please provide the full plan document and clarify what specific student data is being collected and which outside vendors or agencies have access to it. We need to see the parental opt-out forms before this program continues.’
