Local Action Alert

Heads up! We have scanned the upcoming agenda for Ecorse Public Schools. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.

NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)

Restrictive Process for Agenda Items

📅 September 21, 2026

The district’s policy, stated at the top of the agenda, requires parents to submit requests for Board action in writing by the prior Wednesday. This process can be used to filter parent concerns and prevent the Board from hearing or acting on urgent issues raised at the meeting itself.

Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND YOUR RIGHT TO BE HEARD: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask the Board to reform the process for adding items to the agenda. Parents should not have to navigate a bureaucratic pre-approval process to have their concerns addressed by their elected officials.

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Limited Parent Voice

ALERT (LEVEL 3)

Vague ‘District Website’ Presentation

📅 September 21, 2026

The board is receiving a presentation on the district website under Item 5.A. The content is undisclosed, which could hide the introduction of new data collection portals, parent-unfriendly navigation, or links to ideological resources.

Recommended Action Plan

REQUEST TRANSPARENCY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask that the ‘District Website’ presentation materials for Item 5.A be posted publicly online before the meeting for parental review.

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Undisclosed
