Vague ‘Governance’ Discussion Hides Details

📅 Tue, Oct 20, 2026

The board has scheduled a workshop discussion under the vague heading ‘Governance’ but has provided no details about what specific policies or rules will be discussed. This lack of transparency prevents parents from knowing if their rights to speak at meetings or review board actions are on the table before decisions are made.

Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Workshops are where policy is shaped before a vote. Contact the School Board members (verify contact details on the district website): ‘Regarding Item 4, ‘Governance,’ on the October 20th workshop agenda, I demand that the specific topics for discussion be publicly posted immediately. Parents will not accept last-minute changes to board governance that limit our voice.’

💰 Impact: Lack of Transparency
