⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)

Contract with ‘Zen Educate’ to Provide ‘Behavior Technicians’

📅 2026-08-17

The board is voting to approve a contract with an outside company, Zen Educate Inc., to provide ‘behavior technicians’ and paraprofessionals to the district. This outsources staff who work directly with students to an unknown third-party vendor, raising questions about their training, methods, and the behavioral frameworks they will use on our children.

Recommended Action Plan

INVESTIGATE: Email the School Board (see the Official Agenda link for contact details): ‘Regarding Item C.2, what is the total cost of the Zen Educate contract? What specific training and curriculum will their ‘behavior technicians’ use with students? Parents must be able to review all materials before outside vendors are given access to our children.’
