⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
New Rules Limit Public Comment to Agenda Items Only
📅 August 10, 2026
The district’s public comment policy states that parents may only speak on items already listed on the meeting’s agenda. This procedure effectively prevents parents from raising new or urgent concerns that the board has not pre-approved for discussion.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND YOUR RIGHT TO BE HEARD: Contact the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Board of Trustees (see the Official Agenda link for contact info). ‘The policy limiting public comment to agenda items only silences parents. We demand a general public comment period at every meeting to address all concerns, not just those pre-approved by the board.’
