Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for Corona-Norco Unified. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.

⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)

Vague ‘Governance Handbook’ Review Could Hide Policy Changes

📅 August 25, 2026

The board is reviewing its ‘Governance Handbook’ without providing the document for public review. This is a common place to quietly change rules about public comment, board oversight, or parental involvement, potentially limiting your voice.

Recommended Action Plan

INVESTIGATE: The agenda lists a ‘Governance Handbook Review’ without providing the document. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and demand that the draft handbook with all proposed changes be posted publicly online at least 72 hours before any review or vote.

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Reduced Parental Oversight

ALERT (LEVEL 4)

‘Effective Governance’ Workshop Could Introduce Ideological Frameworks

📅 August 25, 2026

The board is receiving an ‘Effective Governance Workshop’ from an undisclosed source. These workshops are often provided by outside consultants or associations that push specific ideological frameworks for governance, such as ‘equity-focused’ leadership, which can sideline parent concerns.

Recommended Action Plan

ASK QUESTIONS: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link): ‘Who is conducting the ‘Effective Governance Workshop’ on the August 25th agenda, and can you please provide the public with a copy of all training materials beforehand?’
