District Mission Prioritizes ‘Emotional Well-being’
📅 October 29, 2026
The district’s official mission statement commits resources to supporting the ‘mental, physical, and emotional well-being of students.’ This language is often a precursor to introducing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) or ‘Whole Child’ initiatives that can replace academic instruction with psychological programming.
Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: This language signals the district’s priorities. Watch for future agenda items that use this mission statement to justify SEL curriculum, ‘climate surveys,’ or mental health initiatives that could occur without full parental consent.
