ALERT (LEVEL 2)
Ideological Language in District Vision Statement
📅 August 4, 2026
The district’s official vision statement, included in a facilities presentation, commits to teaching students to respond to “global challenges of the 21st century” and engaging in their “social, and moral education.” While not a specific policy, this type of language is often used as a justification for future ideological programs that replace core academics.
Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: This language is a foothold. Track how the board defines ‘global challenges’ and ‘social and moral education’ in future curriculum and policy discussions. No immediate action required, but be prepared to challenge programs justified by this vision statement.
