District to Hire Outside ‘Behavioral Health’ Therapists

The board is set to approve a contract with Kelly Pediatric Therapy to place outside therapists and ‘Behavior Technicians’ in our schools. While some of these services are for special needs students, the term ‘Behavioral Health’ can be a backdoor for school-based mental health interventions, and parents must know if they will be notified and must provide consent *before* their child is seen by one of these contractors.

DEMAND CLARITY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask the Board: ‘Regarding Item 4.C, what are the exact parental notification and consent policies for services provided by Kelly Pediatric Therapy? We must have an ironclad guarantee that no student will receive behavioral services without prior, written parental consent.’
