This plan mandates training for all educators in “Grief and Trauma Informed Care” and “Positive Relationships,” which are common pathways for introducing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and therapeutic methods into the classroom without a transparent curriculum review by parents.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Calallen ISD Board (see the Official Agenda link for contact details). Urge them: ‘I demand Item 9.A.4, the Professional Development Plan, be pulled from the Consent Agenda for a separate discussion and roll-call vote. Parents deserve to know what ‘Trauma-Informed Care’ means for our children’s classrooms before you approve it.’
