The Board is scheduled to approve ‘Bylaw po0169.1’ without providing any description of what the bylaw contains. This is a major transparency violation. Hiding policy changes behind a generic number prevents parents from knowing what is being voted on and denies them the ability to provide public comment on potentially controversial changes affecting their children.

Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Email Superintendent Richard Stranges at rstranges@mybvls.org and call Board President Donald Dicke at (740) 369-8735. Demand that Item 3.1 be tabled until the full text of the proposed bylaw is published for public review. Parents have a right to know what you are voting on.
