NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Action on K/1 Bathroom Renovations
📅 October 14, 2026
The board is scheduled to take action on bids for Kindergarten and First Grade bathrooms. The agenda provides no details on the design, such as whether these will be single-stall, gender-neutral, or traditional, leaving parents in the dark about a policy that could impact the privacy and safety of the youngest students.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: This item is too vague. Contact the Board (see the Official Agenda link for details) before the meeting: ‘Regarding Item 4.a, K/1 Bathroom Bids, parents demand to see the proposed designs and understand the policy driving this renovation before any vote is taken. What is the district’s policy on gender-neutral bathrooms for students this young?’
