NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Workshop to Discuss Expanding Student Devices
📅 October 5, 2026
The board is holding a workshop dedicated to discussing ‘Student Devices.’ This is often the first step toward a 1:1 device program, which can dramatically increase your child’s daily screen time and replace direct instruction from teachers with software.
Recommended Action Plan

ATTEND THE WORKSHOP: This is the critical time to influence the board’s direction. Attend the 1:00 PM workshop on Oct 5th and ask the board: ‘Before any plan is made, will you commit to publishing independent, non-vendor-funded evidence that more devices improve academic outcomes, and a report on how much daily screen time this would add for each grade level?’

💰 Impact: More Screen Time, Less Teaching
