The district is discussing a new 'Health Center' inside Grant school. These clinics often operate with outside providers and can offer students services, including mental health and wellness checks, without parental consent. This is the first step to putting a government clinic between you and your child.
Recommended Action
Email Superintendent Brian Murphy at bmurphy@mcspresidents.org: 'Regarding the 'Health center at Grant' on the March 9th agenda, who is the proposed healthcare provider? Will parents have the right to opt-out their children from all services, and will they be notified before any service is rendered? We need a public meeting on this proposal.'
