The Board is holding a 7:00 A.M. work session to rewrite the rules for public speaking (Bylaw 0169.1). This is often the first step to reducing speaking times, restricting topics, or making it harder for parents to hold them accountable. They are drafting the new language now, before the public sees it.
Recommended Action
Email Superintendent Ashley Whitely at ashley.whitely@lakotaonline.com: 'Regarding the Public Comment Policy Discussion on March 10, we demand all proposed drafts be made public immediately. Any attempt to reduce public participation will be met with organized opposition. Protect our right to speak.'
