Final Vote on 15 Secret School Policies
|
📅 Vote Scheduled Mar 9, 2026
|
The Board is holding a final vote on a block of 15 new and revised policies, including highly sensitive topics like 'Bullying and Other Forms of Aggressive Behavior' and 'Parental Status of Students.' They have not published the text of these policies, preventing any public review before they become permanent.
Recommended Action
Call Board President Tim Swauger at (740) 967-6846: 'I demand you table the vote on Agenda Items 8.C and 8.D. The public has not been given the text of these 15 policies. Voting without transparency is a violation of public trust. Post the documents online and reschedule the vote for a future meeting.'

$52,000 Contract for One Student at Unknown Facility
|
📅 Vote Scheduled Mar 9, 2026
|
The Superintendent is asking for a $52,000 check to send one student to a facility called 'Phoenix Central ED.' No information has been provided about this facility, its curriculum, or its therapeutic methods. This is a blank check using taxpayer money for an unvetted, out-of-district program.
Recommended Action
Email Superintendent Philip Wagner at pwagner@jmk12.org: 'Regarding Item 8.A, please provide the public with the full details of the Phoenix Central ED program and a copy of the proposed agreement before the Board votes. What does a $52,000 education entail?'
