District Certifies Compliance with State DEI Ban

The board will vote on its annual certification of compliance with Texas SB 12, which prohibits Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) offices and certain classroom instruction. The certification confirms the district eliminated contracting preferences for small, women, and minority owned business enterprises (SWMBE) from its purchasing policies and bond projects to comply with the law.
