⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
New Board Member Selection Behind Closed Doors
📅 August 4, 2026
The board is interviewing candidates for a vacant seat entirely in a closed session. This process prevents parents and the public from hearing the candidates’ positions on key issues before a selection is made.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Board of Education (see the Official Agenda link for contact info). Urge them to hold a public forum or Q&A with the candidates before any appointment is made. ‘Parents deserve to know who you are appointing to represent us. Please schedule a public candidate forum before voting on the appointment discussed in item D.1.a.’
