New Social Studies Coordinator Hired
📅 2026-07-29
The district is hiring a new ‘District Coordinator of Social Studies’ at a salary of $174,000 per year. This role has significant influence over the history and civics curriculum your child is taught, making it a key position for introducing ideological content.
Recommended Action Plan

MONITOR: This is a key curriculum leadership role. Contact the Board of Education (see the Official Agenda link for details) to welcome the new coordinator and state your expectation that they will focus on rigorous, fact-based history and civics, not activism. Ask for a public presentation of their vision for the Social Studies curriculum in the fall.
