Heads up, Texas taxpayers: we’ve reviewed the upcoming FORT WORTH ISD agenda and found 2 items that deserve your attention before the gavel falls.
ALERT (LEVEL 9)
New Policy Pushes Race-Based Discipline
📅 November 4, 2026
Under Item 5.B, a proposed ‘Guardrail 4’ would force the superintendent to reduce the statistical ‘gap’ in discipline rates between different student racial groups. This policy pressures principals to manage discipline based on group quotas rather than individual student behavior, which can lead to unsafe classrooms and teaches students that rules apply differently depending on their identity.
Response

DEMAND A RECORDED VOTE: Email the Board of Education and sign up for public comment on Item 5.B. ‘I oppose Guardrail 4 and its focus on discipline gaps. Discipline should be based on individual student actions, not racial quotas. Vote NO on any policy that compromises classroom safety for the sake of statistics.’

💰 Impact: Less Safe Classrooms
WARNING (LEVEL 6)
Board to Adopt Vague ‘Student Agency’ Goal
📅 November 4, 2026
The Board is considering ‘Goal 5,’ which would measure ‘effective communication, self-advocacy, and ownership of their learning.’ These are common buzzwords for Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs that can shift focus from academic basics to subjective, politically-charged character training. The district has not yet defined how it will measure this, creating an open door for expensive, unproven SEL consultants.
Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Email the Board of Education before the vote on Item 5.B. ‘Goal 5 is too vague. Before adopting a goal for ‘self-advocacy,’ the board must define what it means, how it will be measured, and what curriculum will be used. Do not approve a blank check for future SEL programs.’

💰 Impact: Future SEL Consultant Contracts
