WARNING (LEVEL 7)
District to Set State Lobbying Agenda
📅 November 4, 2026
The Intergovernmental Relations Committee will review and discuss its ‘Legislative Priorities’ for the upcoming state legislative session. This is the process where the district decides what to lobby for in Austin, often using taxpayer resources to advocate for policies that increase spending or oppose taxpayer-friendly reforms.
Response

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Waco ISD Board of Trustees (see the Official Agenda link for contact details). ‘Regarding Item 3, the district’s Legislative Priorities must be published for public review before any discussion. Taxpayers have a right to know what you are lobbying for in Austin with our money.’
