MONITOR (LEVEL 5)
Undisclosed ‘School Specific Goals’ on Agenda
📅 October 30, 2026
The board is scheduled to vote on ‘Updated School Specific Goals for Puget Sound,’ but the agenda provides no details on what these goals are. This prevents parents from reviewing whether the goals focus on core academics or introduce ideological concepts like SEL or equity metrics.
Recommended Action Plan

ASK FIRST: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and demand that the ‘Updated School Specific Goals for Puget Sound’ be published for public review before the vote. ‘Parents have a right to know what goals the district is setting for our children’s education before they are approved.’

ALERT (LEVEL 4)
Vague ‘Annual Training’ Compliance Review
📅 October 30, 2026
The board is reviewing ‘Annual Training Compliance’ without specifying the nature of the training. Parents need to know if this includes ideological training for staff, such as DEI, anti-racism, or gender theory, which often translates into classroom instruction.
Recommended Action Plan

ASK FIRST: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and request a list of the specific trainings included under ‘Annual Training Compliance.’ ‘What topics are covered in the annual staff training, and are any materials available for parental review?’
