Following the presentation of a ‘wellness’ report, the committee will discuss and set the district’s wellness goals for the 2026-2027 school year. This is where vague reports are turned into concrete plans for new programs, which could include SEL curriculum, student surveys, or ‘climate’ initiatives.

ATTEND & REPORT: This is a public meeting. A chapter member needs to attend (in person or online via the link in the agenda) and report back on what ‘Wellness Goals’ are being proposed under Item IV. Ask the committee directly: ‘Will these goals require new student surveys, mental health screenings, or SEL curriculum?’

The District Wellness Committee is reviewing a ‘School Wellness Initiative for Thriving Community Health Report.’ These ‘wellness’ initiatives often serve as cover for introducing Social Emotional Learning (SEL), mental health screenings, or student surveys that collect sensitive data without full parental transparency.

INVESTIGATE: This is a committee meeting, which is where new policies start. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and demand a copy of the ‘School Wellness Initiative for Thriving Community Health Report’ under Item III be posted publicly before the meeting. We need to know if this ‘wellness’ plan includes SEL, student surveys, or mental health screenings.
