Board to Revise Rules on Public Comments and Complaints

Under Item 3A, the Board is reviewing several key policies that control parent and public engagement, including ‘Public Complaints’ (P#9130), ‘Board Member Decorum,’ and ‘Conduct of Board Meeting’ (P#0164). Changes to these policies are often used to limit public speaking time, restrict criticism of the board, or create new hurdles for parents filing official complaints.

Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and demand the draft policies be posted online immediately for public review before any discussion or vote. Ask them: ‘Are you planning to reduce our ability to speak or file complaints?’
