ALERT (LEVEL 4)
Behavior Policies May Shift to ‘Therapeutic’ Models
📅 October 28, 2026
The Teaching & Learning Committee is scheduled to receive an ‘Update on Challenging Behavior.’ This topic is often a gateway for introducing programs like ‘Restorative Practices’ or ‘SEL’ that can replace traditional discipline with therapeutic approaches, impacting classroom safety and order.
Recommended Action Plan

This is an ‘update,’ not a vote, but it’s where new policies are often introduced. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask: ‘Please post all presentation materials for the ‘Update on Challenging Behavior’ (Item 2) online for public review before the Teaching & Learning Committee meeting on October 28th. Parents have a right to know how the district plans to manage student discipline.’
