District ‘Goal Setting’ Workshop Lacks Public Detail

📅 November 9, 2026

The board will discuss and potentially approve its official goals for the 2026-2027 school year in a ‘workshop’ format. Without a draft of these goals provided to the public in advance, taxpayers cannot know if they include commitments to new spending or ideological frameworks like Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) or DEI.

Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Contact the Somerset ISD board before the meeting. Ask: ‘Regarding Item V.A., please publish the draft of the Board and Superintendent Goals online before the November 9th vote. Taxpayers deserve to see the district’s proposed goals before they are approved.’
