MOU with Johnson Controls for Sustainability Study

The district is considering a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) to develop a ‘Business Case Analysis’ for infrastructure projects, including ‘sustainability and decarbonization initiatives.’ While the MOU is non-binding, it initiates a relationship with a vendor whose work in this area can lead to future binding agreements that incorporate ideological policy mandates for staff, students, or curriculum.

CALENDAR: Track Item 3.C. The MOU is non-binding, but the resulting ‘Business Case Analysis’ and any subsequent ‘Project Development Agreement’ with Johnson Controls should be requested via public records and reviewed for ideological mandates or policy commitments.
