Vague ‘Strategic Planning’ Workshop Opens Door to Consultant Spending

📅 Workshop Scheduled July 23, 2026

The board is holding a workshop on ‘Strategic Planning’ with no public documents explaining the scope, cost, or potential consultants involved. These sessions are often the first step toward hiring expensive consultants for vague projects with no clear benefit to students or taxpayers. This lack of detail prevents the public from understanding what new initiatives or spending may be planned on their dime.

Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Since no contact information is on file, residents should contact the district to ask: ‘Regarding the Strategic Planning workshop, what specific problems are you trying to solve? Will a consultant be hired, and what is the budget for this initiative? Taxpayers deserve a clear plan, not a blank check for consultants.’

💰 Impact: Potential for a six-figure consultant contract with no defined outcomes.
