⚠️ Warning (LEVEL 6)
‘Strategic Planning’: A Gateway to Consultant Spending and Mission Creep
📅 Workshop Scheduled July 22, 2026
The board is holding a workshop to discuss a new ‘Strategic Planning Process.’ This is often the first step toward hiring expensive outside consultants to reshape the district’s ‘Vision’ and ‘Priorities.’ These processes can cost taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars and are frequently used to introduce controversial ideological frameworks into schools under vague, positive-sounding labels. This workshop is where the agenda for the next several years will be shaped, long before a formal vote on a costly contract.
Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Email the Levelland ISD Board of Trustees (contact info is available on the district website). Ask: ‘Regarding the Strategic Planning Process, what is the anticipated cost to taxpayers? Will an outside consultant be hired? I urge the Board to ensure this process is fully transparent and focused on academic excellence and fiscal discipline, not on introducing political agendas into our schools.’

💰 Impact: Potential $20,000 – $100,000+ for consultant contracts.
