The school board is voting to nominate a candidate to the board of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). TASB is an association that uses your local tax dollars to hire lobbyists who often work against taxpayer interests at the Texas Capitol, pushing for higher spending and opposing property tax relief and parental rights initiatives. This vote deepens the district’s entanglement with this powerful Austin lobby group.

DEMAND A RECORDED VOTE: Contact the La Pryor ISD board and ask them to vote NO on Item 6. Taxpayers should not be funding or participating in the governance of a lobby group that works against their interests.
