Vague ‘Team of Eight’ Training Session

📅 October 22, 2026

The board is holding a ‘Team of Eight’ training, which consists of the seven trustees and the superintendent. These sessions are often conducted by taxpayer-funded lobby groups like the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to align local officials with their legislative agenda, which frequently opposes taxpayer interests like property tax relief and school choice.

Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link): ‘Regarding Item IV.A, who is conducting the Team of Eight training, what is the cost to the taxpayer, and will a copy of the training materials be made public before the meeting?’
