⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Secret Policies Hidden in New Teacher Contract
📅 Vote Scheduled July 13, 2026
The Board is voting to approve a new, two-year contract with the teachers’ union (Item 4.1). These massive legal documents are often used to quietly insert policies that undermine parental rights and academic standards. Changes related to student discipline (like ‘restorative justice’), teacher evaluations based on ‘equity’ instead of merit, and curriculum development can be buried deep inside, locking them in for years without any public debate.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Email Superintendent Richard Reynolds at rreynolds@ghbulldogs.org and call Board President Millette King at (216) 475-8100. Demand: ‘Before you vote on the new teacher contract (Item 4.1), please publicly identify and explain every change from the previous contract related to curriculum, student discipline, and parental notification rights. We will not accept a rubber stamp on a secret deal.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Potential loss of parental oversight and academic standards, locked in for two years.
