ALERT (LEVEL 8)
District Lays Groundwork for 2026 Bond Election
📅 October 19, 2026
Irving ISD is presenting a ‘long-range plan’ that highlights a $744 million facility repair bill and declining student enrollment. This presentation is the public justification for a new bond proposal in 2026, setting the stage to ask taxpayers for more money while the district also considers school consolidations.
Response

This is the opening move for a major 2026 bond election. Contact the Irving ISD board (see district website for contact info) and attend the ‘Long-Range Planning Committee’ meeting on October 28th, 5:30 PM at Irving High School. Ask them to publish a full, line-item plan for the $744M in repairs before putting any bond on the ballot.
