Vote on Secret School ‘Improvement Plan’

📅 October 19, 2026

The board is scheduled to approve a ‘targeted improvement plan’ for Kirbyville Elementary in response to a low accountability rating. However, the plan’s text is not included in the agenda, preventing parents and taxpayers from reviewing it for costly consultants or ideological curriculum changes before the vote.

Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: The board is voting on a ‘targeted improvement plan’ without publishing the plan itself. Contact the Kirbyville CISD board (see the Official Agenda link for contact info): ‘Regarding Item 2.A, please postpone the vote and publish the full text of the targeted improvement plan. The public cannot comment on a secret plan.’
