Vague ‘Futures Protocol’ Could Hide Ideological Planning
📅 October 14, 2026
The board is set to discuss a ‘Visional/Futures Protocol’ under Old Business. Vague, corporate-sounding terms like this are often used as cover for strategic plans that embed ‘Social Emotional Learning’ (SEL), ‘Global Citizenship’, or other ideological frameworks into the district’s core mission.
Recommended Action Plan

ASK FOR CLARITY: During public comment, ask the Board to define ‘Visional/Futures Protocol’ in plain English and explain how it will impact curriculum and instruction. Ask for any related documents to be made public before any action is taken on Item 5.a.
