NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Public Comment Capped at 15 Minutes Per Topic
📅 October 13, 2026
The board is limiting total public comment on any single agenda item to just 15 minutes. This means if more than five parents sign up to speak on a controversial topic, some will be silenced, effectively capping public debate before it can start.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND YOUR RIGHT TO BE HEARD: Email the Board at Board@eusd.net. ‘Regarding Item 3.A, the 15-minute total time limit per topic is an unacceptable restriction on public input. We demand this cap be removed to ensure all parents who wish to speak on an issue are heard by the Board and the community.’

💰 Impact: Your Voice is Silenced
ALERT (LEVEL 3)
Vague ‘Communications’ Item Could Hide Policy Changes
📅 October 13, 2026
Item 5.A is a catch-all for ‘updates’ on everything from curriculum to legislative action. This vague description allows controversial topics to be discussed without being specifically listed on the agenda, reducing transparency and catching parents off-guard.
Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: This is a standing item to watch at every meeting. Pay close attention to the ‘updates’ provided under Item 5.A, as this is where new initiatives are often introduced before they become official agenda items.

💰 Impact: Reduced Transparency
