District Mission Prioritizes ‘Equity’ and ‘Social Competencies’

The Board is reviewing its foundational mission document, Policy AD. This policy commits the district to ’empower the whole student’ using ‘equitable practices’ and developing ‘personal, social, and cultural competencies,’ which are common terms for embedding Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and DEI ideology into all aspects of school.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND ACADEMIC FOCUS: This is a discussion about the district’s core mission. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and demand they revise Policy AD: ‘Our district’s mission must be academic excellence, not social engineering. Please revise Policy AD to remove ideological terms like ‘equitable practices’ and ‘social competencies’ and replace them with a clear commitment to core subjects like reading, math, and science.’
