Under Action Item XIII.B, the Board is voting to appoint four members as voting delegates to the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) annual conference. The NCSBA is a powerful lobbying group that takes positions on state laws affecting curriculum, school choice, and parental rights. This vote determines who will represent Chatham County’s interests in setting the NCSBA’s political agenda for the entire state.

DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY: Contact the Board of Education (see the Official Agenda link for details): ‘Regarding Item XIII.B, I urge the appointed NCSBA delegates to publicly commit to voting against any resolutions that undermine parental rights or local control.
