Board Meets in Secret on Legally Risky ‘Proposed Action’
📅 October 14, 2026
The Board is holding a closed-door ‘Executive Session’ to discuss potential lawsuits and the ‘legal risks of current or proposed action.’ This means they are likely considering a new policy so controversial they expect to be sued over it, and they are having this discussion in secret, away from public scrutiny.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Kent School District Board (see the Official Agenda link for contact details) and ask: ‘What is the specific nature of the ‘proposed action’ being discussed in the October 14th Executive Session? Parents have a right to know what controversial policies are being considered before they are decided behind closed doors.’
