ALERT (LEVEL 3)
Ideological Language in Mission and Vision Statements
📅 October 12, 2026
The district is formally adopting mission and vision statements that include ideological buzzwords like ‘equitable educational environment,’ ‘global community,’ and ’21st century competencies.’ This language can be used to justify shifting classroom focus from core academics to social and political topics.
Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: This language in items 1.04, 1.05, and the Vision Statement sets the stage for future policy. Track how terms like ‘equity’ and ‘global citizenship’ are used in future curriculum and spending decisions. No immediate action required.
