Heads up! We have scanned the upcoming agenda for Central Bucks SD. We found 3 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.

Police Can Question Your Child at School Without Your Knowledge
Proposed Policy 225 creates a major loophole allowing law enforcement to interview your child at school without notifying you or having you present. The policy states parental notification can be delayed if law enforcement simply ‘directs’ the school to do so, effectively removing your right to be there for your child during a police interrogation.
Recommended Action Plan
PACK THE ROOM: This is a critical threat to parental rights. Email the School Board (see district website for contacts): ‘I demand you amend Item 4.E, Policy 225, to remove any language that allows law enforcement to delay parental notification. My right to be present when my child is questioned by police is non-negotiable. Vote NO until this is fixed.’

New ‘Student Expression’ Policy Requires Prior Approval to Speak
Proposed Policy 220 creates a system of ‘prior restraint’ on student speech, requiring students to submit any ‘nonschool materials’ to the principal for approval two school days in advance. This rule could be used to block students from sharing flyers or materials about religious clubs, conservative viewpoints, or anything an administrator deems potentially ‘disruptive’ or controversial.
Recommended Action Plan
DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Email the School Board (see district website for contacts): ‘Regarding Item 4.A, Policy 220, a two-day prior review system chills free speech. I urge you to reject this policy and protect the First Amendment rights of students without requiring them to seek permission from administrators to express their views.’

District Adopts Strong, Pro-Parent Medication Policy
The board is set for a second reading of Policy 210, a well-written policy on the use of medications at school. The policy correctly requires signed parental and doctor’s consent for all medications, ensures only trained nurses administer them, and protects parents by stating they cannot be required to attend field trips for their child to receive medication.
How to Lock It In
SECURE THE WIN: Show up to thank the Board for Policy 210. Email the School Board (see district website for contacts): ‘Thank you for supporting a common-sense medication policy in Item 5.B that protects student health while respecting parental authority. Please pass Policy 210 as written; it’s a model for other districts.’
