WARNING (LEVEL 7)
School Safety Audit Findings Discussed in Secret Session
📅 October 14, 2026
The board will move into a closed executive session to discuss the findings of intruder detection audits for all district campuses. While state law permits this for security matters, it prevents parents and taxpayers from knowing the safety vulnerabilities in their schools and holding the board accountable for fixing them.
Response

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Edinburg CISD board. ‘While specific security plans in Item 4.A must be private, the public deserves a general report in Open Session on the audit’s findings and the district’s action plan. Don’t use Executive Session to hide problems from parents.’
