District Discussing Lawsuits, Employee Misconduct Behind Closed Doors

The board is holding a closed-door ‘Executive Session’ to get legal advice on two ‘Notices of Claim’ (a step before a lawsuit) involving Centennial and Peoria High Schools. The session will also cover an investigation into the actions of former employees at Centennial High School.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND FUTURE TRANSPARENCY: While legal advice is confidential, the underlying issues are not. Contact the Board (verify emails on the district website): ‘Regarding the Oct. 8 Executive Session, what is the nature of the claims at Centennial and Peoria High Schools, and what assurances can you provide that student safety is the top priority? Parents deserve to be briefed on the outcome of the investigation into former employees.’
