District Demands Webcam ‘Wellness Checks’ Inside Your Home

The district is introducing Policy 204.1, requiring weekly ‘wellness checks’ for all full-time virtual students, which includes forcing them to turn on their webcams for a district employee. Failure to comply escalates quickly to a mandatory ‘wellness review conference’ and then an in-person home visit by the district within 24 hours.
Recommended Action Plan

This is the first reading of a new, invasive policy. Contact the School Board before next week’s meeting: ‘Policy 204.1 is an unacceptable government intrusion into our homes. Vote NO on this policy that turns teachers into surveillance agents and threatens families with home visits.’
