ALERT (LEVEL 4)
Board Policy Restricts Two-Way Communication
📅 October 8, 2026
The agenda for the October 8th meeting explicitly states that the Board will not respond to any public comments during the meeting. This policy turns public comment into a one-way monologue, preventing parents from engaging in a real-time dialogue with their elected officials about their concerns.
Recommended Action Plan

This is the board’s standard procedure, not a new change, but it’s important to challenge. Contact the Board of Education (see the Official Agenda link for contact details): ‘I urge you to reconsider the policy of not responding to public comments. True representation requires dialogue, not just a monologue. Please allow for respectful, interactive public comment at future meetings.’
