Taxpayer-Funded Lobbyist Hired for Superintendent Search

La Pryor ISD is holding a discussion with a consultant from the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to manage its superintendent search. TASB is a registered lobby group that actively works against taxpayer interests, such as property tax relief and parental rights, at the Texas Legislature. This means local tax dollars are being used to support an organization that lobbies against the very people paying the bills.

Email the La Pryor ISD Board of Trustees (contact info on the district website): ‘Regarding Item 2, I oppose using TASB for the superintendent search. TASB lobbies against taxpayers in Austin. Please use a neutral, private search firm that doesn’t use our local tax dollars to undermine our interests.’
